Carlin Yoder, a local educator, recently announced his candidacy for the District 12 seat being vacated by Marvin Riegsecker, R-Goshen.  The Middlebury Republican strongly believes that the 12th district needs an authentic conservative voice in dealing with the pressing issues of property tax relief, immigration issues and core family values. “We are at a crucial point in regard to Indiana’s economic future and need a person who understands Elkhart County’s needs when representing its residents at the state level,” Yoder stated.  “From getting creative in providing property tax relief to developing a common sense approach to the growing immigration issue, we need a senator who is willing to fight hard for the best interests of this district, and I’m willing to do just that.”

Yoder is the administrator at Clinton Christian School, located near Goshen.  “I’ve never been afraid of a challenge and I look forward to this campaign.  It’s important for our residents to have choices in who represents them and I will strive to stand out as the best candidate for this senate seat.”

A graduate of Indiana University-South Bend,Yoder and his wife, Jayme, have 3 children and are in the process of adopting their fourth.  They are the owners of Danceworks Academy, located near Middlebury and are active members of Sugar Grove Church.
